Property Details
A beautiful, large Arts and Crafts era cottage, a renovated historical house, decorated by a professional interior decorator, is in the town of Diamond Point, between the busy Lake George and the elegant Bolton Landing. You can rent or exchange with us the whole house or the bed & breakfast suite. Beautiful home on a 1/2 acre, with sleeping for 9. Great private yard, 250 yards from the magnificent Lake George, we have seasonal views, and are two minutes from a private town beach. The beach is wonderful! We are in between the villages of Lake George and Bolton Landing, both of which have great, large beaches.
The house is 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a lovely backyard with a brook in the back, and a rocking chair porch. The hummingbirds come to visit every day, and we have our own finches who share our yard with us. Our home has access to a smaller public beach two minutes away, or the large Bolton beaches approximately eight minutes away. Both beaches have lots of activities! We have kayaks you can use, and right down the street is the public fishing or charter boats. Many, many activities. Your vacation can be as activity-filled or as peaceful as you choose.Area Description
Lake George is called the "Queen of American Lakes." It is a 29 mile long lake in the Adirondacks in New York state. In the area, here are some of the things you can do: go to Great Escape Amusement Park (15 minutes away,) our private Diamond Point beach 2 minutes away, the Lake George or Bolton Landing beaches 6 minutes away, fireworks on the lake at Lake George village every Thursday, great fishing, golfing, tennis, shopping in Lake George and Bolton Landing, great dining, kayaking/canoeing on the lake or on smaller area lakes, whitewater rafting on area rivers, mountain climbing (the top 46 peaks in NY are in the Adirondacks,) mountain biking, mini-golf, arcades in Lake George village, lots and lots of things to do, or absolutely nothing - just sit in the yard or on the beach, put your feet up, and listen to the brook or the waves in the lake lap against the shore.
